How our price check works

Price check. We checked this price ourselves, recently.

Not verified. The price is shown, with the reason it didn't pass.

The four rules

A price earns the blue shield only when all four are true:

  1. We checked it within the last day.
  2. The store showed the racket in stock at that check.
  3. The total includes shipping to a US address.
  4. The price is in US dollars, not converted from another currency.

If any rule fails, the price stays on the page with a grey outline shield and the reason, so you can decide for yourself. A price that hasn't been checked for more than a day loses the shield automatically.

What the shield doesn't mean

The price check is our own review, not a certification from an outside body. It says nothing about a store's customer service or return policy. Stores can't pay for it, and a store that pays us a commission gets the same check as one that doesn't.

How we sort prices

Verified prices come first, cheapest total first. Unverified prices follow. Commissions never affect the order. How we make money.

Where specs come from

Specs are the figures brands and stores publish. We don't lab-test rackets, and we list the source and the date we checked it under every spec table. Balance is shown in millimeters from the end of the handle when a source gives it.
